State Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij arrived on Saturday to inspect the domestic airport of Ambala. He took stock of various parts of the airport and instructed the officers to complete the finishing work soon.

Significantly, Anil Vij had announced a day before that Ambala Airport will be launched around August 15. For this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has been requested for inauguration and correspondence has started to fix the date from them.

Vij arrived to see the arrangements

At the same time, Minister Anil Vij reached the airport to see the arrangements. During this time he saw the parking, parking garden outside the terminal. He gave necessary guidelines to the officers. Also instructed the authorities to cut the growing grass. He said that all the shortcomings should be completed soon.

10 days time

Vij has clearly told the officials that you have only 10 days time. Improve all your arrangements in 10 days. After that it will be started around August 15.

Vij inspected the inside the airport, during which he appeared satisfied with all the arrangements. He has instructed the officials to finish the remaining works soon.

All preparations completed at the airport

On Friday, Minister Vij said that all the preparations of the airport in Ambala Cantonment have been completed. Officers and employees of the Civil Aviation Department have been deployed here and the airport is now fully prepared for the inauguration.

He said that Ambala Cantonment is an important station, whose connectivity is much stronger than railway, road and nearby states. There is direct access from different parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana from here.

Vij said that Ambala’s direct connectivity is also from the science industry, Jagadhri’s metal industry, Panipat and Gurugram, which can prove to be quite successful in the future.

He also informed that he has received a letter from the Union Civil Aviation Minister, in which three airlines have been approved from Ambala. Apart from this, other airlines are also seeking approval to start flights from here.
