There was a conspiracy to trap PM Modi and CM Yogi in Malegaon blast case? Pragya Thakur made a big claim

After being acquitted in the Malegaon blast case, former BJP MP Pragya Thakur has made a big allegation against the officials investigating. He claimed that the officials investigating the case had tried to pressurize Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and others to take pressure on them.

Special Court of NIA gives relief to Pragya Thakur

The Special Court of NIA acquitted all the seven accused, including Pragya Singh Thakur and Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit, on Thursday (31 July 2025). The court said that there is not enough evidence to prove them (the accused) guilty. A total of 14 people were arrested in this case, but only seven people were prosecuted, as the remaining seven were acquitted at the time of the charges.

‘Authorities tortured to lie’

Pragya Thakur said on Saturday (2 August 2025), “He asked me to take the names of many people, including senior BJP leader Ram Madhav. He tortured me to do all this. My lungs answered, I was kept in the hospital illegally in the hospital. I used to live in Gujarat, so I asked me to take PM Modi’s name. I did not take any name because he was not forcing me to lie.”

Pragya Thakur’s claim came immediately after the decision in the case, in which a witness, which overturned the statement, also claimed that he was forced to trap Yogi Adityanath and four other people associated with RSS. It also included the name of senior RSS member Indresh Kumar.

Former ATS member also accused

Former ATS member Mehboob Muzawar also claimed that senior officials had ordered him to arrest RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, but he refused to do so. The court rejected these claims. However, Muzawar also claimed on Friday that the objective of this order was to take the investigation in the wrong direction and make it a case of saffron terrorism.
