On July 19 in Baibar village of Odisha, a 15 -year -old girl was burnt alive by some people. He has now died during treatment. The girl was first admitted to Bhubaneswar and then AIIMS Hospital in Delhi in critical condition.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief over the incident and wrote on X that I am shocked by this sad news. Despite every effort of the doctors of the government and AIIMS Delhi, we could not save his life. He has assured the victim’s family to provide all possible help and said that strict action will be taken.

On July 19, a 15 -year -old minor girl was set on fire by three people by putting petrol in Puri, Odisha. The condition of the girl still remains critical. He was airlifted to Delhi AIIMS on July 20 by airlifting Bhubaneswar AIIMS.

Here he was admitted to ICU of Burns and Plastic Surgery Block. A team of doctors was constantly monitoring his condition. The girl was placed on oxygen support. Even after such an exercise, the minor could not be saved.

July 22: Supreme Court said- We are embarrassed

Earlier on July 22, the Supreme Court said, “We are embarrassed.” A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi said on Monday that school girls, domestic women and children from rural areas should get a safe environment.

The court has sought concrete suggestions from the Center and all sides. The court described the incident as unfortunate and expressed serious concern over women safety.

Three people set fire to Saheli’s house

The incident took place in Baibar village in Puri district when the victim girl was going to her friend’s house. Three people stopped him on the way and put petrol and set him on fire. Why the student set fire, no reason has been revealed yet.

An attempt was made to burn a girl in broad daylight, it is a very scary thing. A week ago, a student of FM College set herself on fire when he did not get justice. Patnaik questioned, ‘Will the government wake up now? Will criminals be caught soon? And if there are no such incidents, no concrete steps will be taken? Odisha’s daughters want the answer.

July 12- Student committed suicide, accused arrested

The student was troubled by sexual harassment, she had set herself on fire when no hearing.

  • The student was a second year student in Integrated Bed course at Fakir Mohan College in Balasore district. On July 12, he had set fire to the college campus by spraying kerosene on the college campus, upset by the Sexual Harassment of the Head of Department (HOD).
  • She had gone to the principal before the incident, but the principal asked her to withdraw her complaint. After this he committed self -immolation. The student was first admitted to Balasore District Hospital. From there, doctors referred AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
  • The Odisha police arrested the accused HOD Sameer Kumar Sahu on 12 July. The state government suspended the principal of the college Dilip Ghosh. However, the police also arrested the principal on 14 July amid protests across the state.
  • The student was burnt more than 95 percent. He died late on July 14 during treatment at Bhubaneswar AIIMS.

17 July: 8 parties including Congress demonstrated Odisha bandh was called by the opposition on 17 July for the death of a student of sexual harassment. The protesters stopped the train in Bhadrak. Buses were checked in Bhubaneswar.

Tires were burnt on the Chennai-Kolkata highway in Bhadrak district, which led to a long queue of trucks. People also landed on the road in Mayurbhanj
