The difficulties of former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav may increase because the Election Commission has started investigating his claim. Tejashwi Yadav claimed that the voter ID card he has and its number is not in the voter list issued by the Election Commission.
Tejashwi Yadav’s name is present in the draft voter list
The Central Election Commission dismissed Tejashwi Yadav’s allegations with facts and said that his name is present in the draft voter list. The voter ID card and its number that Tejashwi Yadav is talking about is not in existence anywhere. It may happen that it has been built in a fake way, due to this, the investigation of this matter has started.
Bihar Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav claimed that his name had been removed from the voter list. Tejashwi said that he had filled the calculation form and checked his name in the voter list, but did not get the name. During this, Tejashwi Yadav also told his voter ID card and his number.
Election Commission engaged in checking Tejashwi’s EPIC number
The Election Commission rejected his claim and made it clear that Tejashwi Yadav’s name is present in the draft voter list. According to the commission, in the 2020 assembly elections, Tejashwi lodged the EPIC number Rab0456228 in his affidavit. The same number is recorded in the draft voter list released on 1 August. While the second EPIC number Rab2916120 was found to be unmatched and its official records have not been found so far.
The Election Commission said, “The EPIC number given by Tejashwi Yadav in 2020 is present in the current draft list. There is no record of the second EPIC number and its validity is under investigation. There is a possibility that this card has never been officially released.” If this proves to be fake, then the legal difficulties of Tejashwi Yadav can also increase.
All the allegations of Tejashwi are baseless- Election Commission
Along with this, the Election Commission has also responded to the allegations of Tejashwi Yadav in which Tejashwi Yadav had questioned the SIR process. Responding to Tejashwi, the Election Commission said, “Pure voter list is the foundation of democracy. Claims and objections will be taken from 1 August to 1 September under SIR Are baseless. “
