After the acquittal by the special NIA court in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, BJP MP Pragya Thakur has now claimed a shocking claim. He alleged that he was forced to take and tortured the names of Narendra Modi, Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and others.
According to news agency PTI, this is the first time that Pragya Thakur has publicly claimed such a claim. However, no such charge has been mentioned in the 1036 -page judgment of the NIA’s special court.
On Saturday, Sadhvi Pragya reached the Bhopal Sessions Court to complete the security formality under the conditions of bail. Speaking to reporters outside, he alleged that he was tortured illegally in custody.
Pragya Thakur said, “He said that take the name of Modi ji, because I was living in Surat (Gujarat) at that time. She asked RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Indresh Ji, Ram Madhav ji, and many other names. But I refused to lie.”
‘I have given everything in writing’
He said, “I have given everything in writing and have also mentioned the names of all whose names I was forced to take.
Targeting the then UPA government, Pragya Thakur alleged that the Congress is behind this false case, which is part of a major conspiracy to discredit saffron and armed forces.
Describing it as a victory of religion, Pragya Thakur said, “Satyamev Jayate, not my victory, this is the victory of Sanatan. This will be destroyed and happened. Congress has filed this false case under its conspiracy. There was no basis for it. There was no basis for it. Congress is anti-religion. It is a party to raise terrorists. Congress can never become a nationalist party.”
ATS officials accused
Sadhvi accused the then ACP Parambir Singh, ATS chief Hemant Karkare and officer Sukhwinder Singh of torture. He said, “Parambir Singh and Karkare forced me to lie. But I stood up.”
