Amarnath yatra suspended: Every year lakhs of devotees come to worship Lord Shiva in the holy Amarnath cave located in the Himalayas of Jammu and Kashmir, which is also known by the Amarnath Yatra. Due to the bad weather, this journey has ended one before its fixed limit this year. So far, 4.14 lakh devotees have seen Baba Barfani. Tomorrow i.e. from August 3, no devotees will join this journey.
According to officials, on Saturday, 4,586 men, 1,299 women, 62 children, 51 sadhus, 5 sadhus and 494 security personnel have bowed in the holy dham of Lord Shiva.
Devotees were less than last year
Every year the number of devotees traveling Amarnath is increased. However, in 2025, less devotees came compared to last year. Last year, more than 5.10 lakh devotees reached the cave during the Amarnath Yatra. But this time only 4.14 lakh devotees visited.
This time the Amarnath Yatra started on 3 July and was scheduled to run till August 9. However, due to the condition of the roads due to heavy rains, it had to be stopped a week ago.

Rains stopped, necessary repairs on track
The administration said that due to continuous rains, there has been serious damage on the paths and in view of the safety of the devotees, it was decided to stop the journey ahead of time to repair and maintain the track.
However, this year too, millions of people took part in this great festival of faith and saw Baba Amarnath and got virtuous benefits.
