Mention of 2015 voter list
The Election Commission said that Tejashwi Yadav’s name is clearly recorded in the draft voter list published on 1 August. Not only this, Tejashwi had the same EPIC number in the 2015 voter list. In such a situation, the claim that his name has been removed from the list, is completely baseless and has already been rejected by the Election Commission.
Controversy over this EPIC number Rab2916120
However, the dispute is about another EPIC number Rab2916120, which is being linked to Tejashwi Yadav. In the investigation, this number has been found to be existential. The Commission made it clear that this EPIC is neither recorded in any official document nor any valid records have been found so far.
Records over 10 years old were scrutinized
The Election Commission, after scrutinizing the record more than 10 years, has expressed suspicion that the second EPIC number was probably never made in a legitimate manner. Its authenticity is now being investigated deeply, so that it can be decided whether it was any kind of fake document.
