Salary of booth level officers doubled, very good news for ERO and AERO including BLO supervisors

Amid the ongoing voter list revision in Bihar, the Election Commission has increased the honorarium of other personnel including BLO to double. Booth level officer (BLO) will now get an honorarium of Rs 12000 instead of 6000. At the same time, they will also get special allowance of Rs 6000 for the work of voter list revision.

For the first time, ERO (Electoral Registration Officer) and AERO (Assistant Electoral Registration Officer) will be given honorarium. The honorarium of BLO Supervisor has also been increased from Rs 12 thousand to Rs 18 thousand. For revision work, the BLO which used to get an additional honorarium of 1 thousand rupees, the Election Commission has also increased it to Rs 2000.

Electoral Registration Officer honorarium 30 thousand rupees

Apart from this, it has been decided to give an honorarium of Rs 30 thousand to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and 25 thousand rupees to Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO). They were not getting any allowance or honorarium till now.

BLO will get a total of 24 thousand rupees

The BLO will now get an honorarium of a total of 24 thousand. Along with 12000 honorarium from the Election Commission, a separate Rs 6000 special allowance is also being given for the voter list revision. The Nitish government of Bihar also announced a lump sum of Rs 6000 to the BLO last month. In this way the BLO will get a total of 24 thousand.

Big decision of election commission

According to the order issued by the Election Commission, the correct and accurate voter lists are the cornerstone of democracy. The role of Electoral Registration Officer (EROS), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AEROS), BLO Supervisor and Booth Level Officer (BLO) is important in the voter list system. Therefore, these decisions have been taken towards the commission.
