Another terrorist has been killed in Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir under Operation Akhhal. A total of 2 terrorists have been killed so far. Sources say that it was a group of 5 Lashkar terrorists, in which 3 terrorists are left.
Firing between security forces and terrorists continues in Akhhal area of Kulgam. There is a possibility of 2-3 more terrorists being trapped in the sieged forest area. Haris Nazir Dar (TRF), a resident of Pulwama, was killed in an operation conducted by security forces in Akhl of Kulgam.
AK-47 rifle, grenade and ammunition recovered
During the operation, weapons and ammunition including AK-47 rifle, AK magazine and grenade were recovered. The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army posted on X and said that the security forces have so far killed a terrorist. The operation continues. The encounter started on Friday
On Friday (August 1, 2025), security forces started a siege and search operation in the forests after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area. It started again on Saturday, in which security forces have killed 2 terrorists so far.
According to the report of India Today, about 20 high-profile terrorists have been piled up since the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. Apart from this, more than 100 terrorists were killed by security forces in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor run between May 6-7.
