Before the Bihar assembly elections, the government may have to reverse the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who surrounds the government on the issue of SIR. Former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav alleged that his name had been removed from the draft voter list, the Election Commission gave him notice.

In Patna, the party of BJP, JDU and Chirag Paswan demanded a case against Tejashwi Yadav to register a case. The NDA accused him of fraud and demanded to check the voter ID card of the Lalu family.

Election Commission issued notice to Tejashwi

According to Tejashwi, the EPIC number (Rab2916120) he shared is not in the record. Taking cognizance of this, the notice was issued to Tejashwi Yadav and sought a details of the EPIC number Rab2916120 (including the voter ID card) to investigate it. The Election Commission said, “Their name is inscribed on serial number 416 of polling station number 204 (Library Building of Bihar Animal Sciences University), whose EPIC number is Rab0456228.”

District Magistrate rejected the claims of RJD leader

After this, the RJD leader alleged that his EPIC number had been changed, but District Magistrate Tyagraj SM rejected the claim. The District Magistrate said, “The EPIC number in the voter list is the same by the Leader of the Opposition in his affidavit in the 2020 assembly elections. If he has any other EPIC card with any other number, it is a matter of investigation.”

BJP demands to prosecute

After the cleaning of the Election Commission, BJP became attacked by Tejashwi Yadav. BJP leader Ajay Alok said that no one person can keep two voter ID cards. If someone keeps two voter ID cards, then there is a provision to go to jail in such cases. He said that the voter ID card of the entire Lalu family should also be examined. JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said, “Tejashwi Yadav is accused of 420. There are 7 scams against him. Now he has done a new scam as EPIC. It is a serious crime.”

No objections received so far- Election Commission

The Election Commission said that under Bihar SIR 2025, no objections have been received from various political parties from August 1 to August 3 at 3 pm. According to the Election Commission, 941 claims or objections have been received to include in the list of qualified voters and remove unqualified voters, which are yet to be settled.

On the BJP’s allegations, Tejashwi Yadav questioned the Election Commission and said that his EPIC number has been changed under the conspiracy. He raised the question that there will be many people whose name can be cut from the voter list. He called the Election Commission to the dock commission.
