There was havoc all around the Kedarnath temple from the Jalapalaya, which came on the night of 16 June 2013.
The discovery of the skeletons of the missing people in the 2013 disaster in Kedarnath can start again this year. 3075 people missing in that disaster have not been detected till date. A petition was filed in the Uttarakhand High Court for this.
The petition appealed to the government to find the skeletons of the people who went missing and cremate them respectfully. The government has sent teams four times so far.

703 hell was found after 7 years
In 2020, 703 hells were recovered by the investigative team in the Chatti and Gaumukhi region. 21 skeletons were recovered in 2014 and 9 in 2016. On November 2024, 10 teams had set out in search on various foot routes, but they too could not get success. Their families are detected through DNA testing of the skeletons received.
In such a situation, preparations are being made to send the search team again this year. According to Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman, there is a preparation to send the search team this year. We are going to present the report in the High Court.
The Uttarakhand High Court had instructed the state in 2016 and then 2019 to find the remains of 3075 missing people and cremate them. Following the order, search teams were sent by the government to the walking routes around Kedarnath.
