A case of cockroach has come to light in a flight from Air India’s San Francisco to Kolkata via Kolkata. Two passengers complained of getting cockroaches near their seat. After this, the cabin crew changed the seats of both. Both were upset after seeing cockroaches.
The airline said in a statement that our cabin crew placed both passengers on the other seats of the same cabin, where they sat comfortably till they reached Mumbai. While filling fuel in Kolkata, the ground crew cleaned the flight. Then the flight left for Mumbai.
Air India said, ‘Despite continuous fumegation (chemical spray) on our side, insects can sometimes enter the aircraft during ground operation. We will investigate to find out the cause of this incident and try not to do such an incident again. The airline also apologized to the passengers, calling the incident unfortunate.
Two Air India flights were canceled on Sunday A day earlier, on Sunday, Air India had to cancel their two flights due to technical reasons. The first flight AI 500 was coming to Delhi from Bhubaneswar. However, the cabin temperature was high before the flight departs at Bhubaneswar Airport.

Earlier on Sunday, the Singapore-Chennai flight of Air India was also canceled for repair work. The airline said that the AI 349 was about to leave from Singapore, but before that the need for repair was seen, which had to take extra time. Due to this, the flight was canceled.
