London: Indian captain Shubman Gill believes that a bowler with capacity and skill like Mohammad Siraj is the dream of every captain. Gill also called 2–2 equality as a ‘appropriate reflection’ of the cricket level shown in a series of five Test matches against England.
Gill, who was the best player of India’s series with 754 runs and four centuries in the series, praised Siraj, whose India won nine wickets in The Oval and won the series. Gill told Michael Atherton during the award distribution ceremony after the match:
Siraj is the dream of any captain. He thrown everything in every ball and every spell. A match of 2-2 is a proper reflection. This shows how enthusiastic the two teams were and how well they played.
