Uttar Pradesh Prison Minister Dara Singh Chauhan visited a surprise tour of Gautam Buddha Nagar District Prison. On his arrival, he was given the Guard of Honor with full respect. During this, Jail Superintendent Brijesh Kumar, Karapal Sanjay Kumar Shahi, Rajesh Kumar Maurya and many senior officials were present.
The minister inaugurated several developmental schemes in this tour, including 10 single rooms for the hospital, 10 single rooms in the women’s yard, indoor gym and wellness center, three new prison godowns, tubewells for drinking water facility and the foundation stone of a community building.

He also inspected the skill development center operated in the jail, where the prisoners are being trained in sewing, hair cutting, computer, singing, dance and other hobby courses. The cooperation of organizations like M Enterprises, HCL, India Vision Foundation and Prommethius School in these programs was commendable.
Special attention attracted schemes like beekeeping, LED Jhalar construction, sculpture and organic fertilizer manufacturing, which are playing an important role in the direction of rehabilitation of prisoners. The minister also appreciated the medicinal garden developed in jail, in which plants like Brahmi, Ashwagandha, Insulin are being grown.
Minister participated with detainees in Rudrabhishek and Shiva procession
At the same time, Minister Dara Singh participated in Rudrabhishek and Shiva procession held on the last Monday of Sawan with detainees. He worshiped Shiva and wished for the welfare of all the prisoners, employees and public. The minister appreciated the corrective policies of the jail administration and appealed to strengthen the spirit of rehabilitation and brotherhood in the society.
