Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam has demanded an inquiry from the government alleging ‘Housing Jihad’ in Mumbai. He claimed on Tuesday that Muslim builders in many areas of Mumbai are removing Hindu families from there and giving houses to Muslim families.
He said that houses have no religion, but the current situation has forced him to raise this issue. Sanjay Nirupam has appealed to the government to investigate all Muslim builders to save the identity of Mumbai.
On October 19, Nirupam also accused of housing jihad.
Earlier on June 19, Sanjay Nirupam claimed that 220 flats were illegally built in these projects and especially sold to Muslim buyers. Nirupam said that the complaint against Chandiwala Enterprises has already been submitted to Deputy Chief Minister and Housing Minister Eknath Shinde and investigation is going on.

- The inquiry committee has found evidence indicating the pattern of ‘Housing Jihad’ in these projects and the final report will be ready soon. Chandiwala Enterprises fraudulently obtained the floor space index (FSI) using fake documents, resulting in a scam of at least ₹ 660 crore.
- All those involved in this conspiracy should be investigated and strict steps should be taken against the culprits. However, the silver enterprises is not alone. There are about 20 to 25 other builders in Mumbai, who buy houses from Marathi people and sell them especially to Muslims during redevelopment. He has demanded an inquiry into all such projects in Mumbai.
Nirupam said- If there was no eternal, Jitendra Awhad would have become ‘Jittuddin’
On the controversial statement made by the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) MLA Jitendra Awhad about Sanatan Dharma, Nirupam wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ on Monday that if there was no Sanatan Dharma, Jitendra would have become ‘Jittuddin’ today. Nirupam described Sanatan as the protector of India’s civilization and culture.
He said that Jitendra Awhad should remember that his ancestors had sheltered in the shade of Sanatan. Nirupam wrote in his post,
Sanatan Dharma has kept India’s civilization, culture and traditions alive for thousands of years. Had it not been Sanatani, this country would have become Saudi Arabia. Calling such a religion a ‘terrorist’ is sheer and acclaimed firoshi.
NCP-Sharad MLA said- Sanatan Dharma ruined India
NCP (Sharad faction) MLA Jitendra Awhad said on Sunday that Sanatan Dharma ruined India. There was never any religion named Sanatan Dharma. Its ideology is distorted. We are followers of Hinduism.
He alleged- This so-called Sanatan Dharma deprived our Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj of coronation, maligning Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Its followers tried to kill Jyotirao Phule.
This statement of Awhad has come amid the acquittal of all the 7 accused of Malegaon Blast and the ongoing political debate on saffron terrorism. There was a blast on 29 September 2008 in Malegaon, Maharashtra. It killed 6 people and around 100 people were injured. The Malegaon blast case was initially investigated by Maharashtra ATS.
