S Jaishankar welcomed the participants of the festival from various member countries of the regional group. He said that this concert follows the commitment made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Bimstec Summit.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that music is ‘culture, heritage and tradition for all of us’, and individually or as a group, it is also an expression of creativity or sometimes emotions.
S Jaishankar further said, “Music has always been a means of joining each other and others. Both BIMSTEC member countries’ shared traditions and all kinds of nuances will be fully displayed.”
The Union Minister said that music takes so much that it is natural to be considered the soul of the society, but when it comes to traditional music, it becomes even more important.
S Jaishankar said, “Like other forms of culture, music also acts as a bridge between countries.”
