Manali has been raining since this morning.

Many parts of Himachal Pradesh have been raining since last night. The river drain is in spate after the last 15 hours of continuous rains in the mandi. Meanwhile, the coal-dam management has issued an alert to release water from the dam at 8.45 am due to the water inflow. Sutlej’s water level will increase 4-5 meters after releasing water. In view of this, the people of Punjab have also been advised to be vigilant and not to go to the river.

The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of heavy rains in many areas of three districts Una, Bilaspur and Kangra today (on Tuesday). Orange alert of rain has been issued in these districts. There is a yellow alert in Hamirpur, Mandi and Sirmaur districts.

Rain is expected till 8 August

There is no possibility of relief from rain till August 8 in the state. It is a matter of little relief that the monsoon will be a bit weak from the next tomorrow compared to today. However, it will rain in different parts of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of relief from rain till August 20. Excessive rainfall is forecast in the month of August.

265 roads, 282 drinking water schemes closed due to rain

At the same time, many parts of Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Una districts have been receiving good rains since last night. Landslide is also reported in many places. Due to heavy rains in different areas of the state, 265 roads and 282 drinking water schemes have been closed.

192 killed in monsoon

Let me tell you that 192 people have died in this monsoon season in the state. Of these, 31 people died of landslide, flood and cloudburst, while 36 people are missing. Due to heavy rains, private and government property worth 1753 crore has been damaged in this monsoon season.

Alert in 3 districts tomorrow

Tomorrow i.e. on August 6, there is a faster alert at one or two places in Una, Bilaspur and Hamirpur districts. Yellow alert has been given in Shimla and Sirmaur on 7 August, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts on 8 August.
