The fight during the birthday celebrations in Puducherry took a bloody form. In a dispute in OMG Pub late Saturday night, a young man was stabbed to death, while another was injured. The deceased has been identified as Mojik Shanmugam, a resident of Tamil Nadu.
According to the police, Shajan came to Puducherry to celebrate his birthday with his friends. At around 1:30 pm, all were dancing and partying in OMG pub. Then there was a dispute with the bouncers. It is being told that there was an argument on both sides about the dance with women, which turned into a fight.

When Shajan and Mojik went inside to pay the bill, his friend Deanson, standing outside, heard the noise inside the pub. When he went inside, the bouncers were attacking Shajan and Mojik. The quarrel rose on both sides and all were pushed out. During this time, Mojik tried to calm the quarrel, but was stabbed.
Shajan was also injured in the attack. His friend Anabarasan immediately rushed both of them to a government hospital, where Mosik was declared dead by doctors, while Shajan is undergoing treatment. On the complaint of Anabarasan, the Periyakadai police have registered a case under sections 191 (1), 191 (2), 118 (2), 109, 103 (1) of BNS. The police are investigating the CCTV footage of the bar and conducting raids for the arrest of the accused.
