Many important decisions were taken in the Union Cabinet meeting led by PM Modi. The cabinet has approved the installation of 4 new semiconductor projects in Orissa, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh. A total of Rs 4594 crore will be spent for this. Phase 1B of Lucknow Metro has been approved, for which approval of Rs 5801 crore has been given. Tato -II Hydroelectric Project 700 MW has been approved, for which Rs 8146 crore will be spent.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Four new semiconductor projects have been approved. Such 6 such projects have already been approved and four new projects have been added to it today. These are in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab, which will invest Rs 4,594 crore.” He said that Lucknow is a big city. There is a great need for metro here, so Phase 1B of Lucknow Metro has been approved for investment of Rs 5,801 crore.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “India is committed to clean development and clean energy. In this regard, 700 MW Tato II Hydroelectric Project was approved today with an investment of Rs 8,146 crore.”
