The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) took major action in Meerut on 11 August 2025 and busted an active gang -making gang. This gang used to work illegally in high school and intermediate marksheets to enroll students in higher educational institutions and prepare a back date marksheet without the Uttar Pradesh Open School Board.
Gang leader Jitendra son Sadhu Singh, Shivkumar son Rakesh Kumar and Nikhil Tomar son Badam Singh were arrested from house number F-230 to 11:30 pm in Ganganagar area of Meerut. A computer CPU, printer, external hard disk, 10 schools stamps, 2 stamp pads, 25 high schools and 49 intermediate marksheets, 2 open school marksheets, 2 TCs, a sanad and a car were recovered from the spot.
Accused arrested for illegally increasing marks
During interrogation, it was found that the accused used to take ₹ 10,000 per student and ₹ 3,000 for fake TC. ₹ 10,000 to ₹ 15,000 was recovered to make a back date marksheet without examining, in which ₹ 5,000 was sent to Lucknow’s partner. This gang was involved in this illegal business for the last 10 years.
Police filed cases in various sections
A case has been registered against the arrested accused under the relevant sections in Ganganagar, Meerut police station and further action is being taken by the local police.
