On August 11, the Supreme Court gave a major verdict regarding the homeless dogs of Delhi. The court directed the dogs to keep the dogs permanently in the shelter home and sterilize them, on which there has been a continuous dispute. The court has decided to protect people from rabies. However, along with the general public, Bollywood stars are opposing this.

On Wednesday, August 13, the Chief Justice of India said that he would consider the issue when he mentioned a petition demanding regular sterilization and vaccination of stray dogs in front of his bench on Wednesday, 13 August. However, it is not yet clear whether the Chief Justice was talking about the petition of 2024 or the recently given decision of the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Bollywood’s well -known actor Randeep Hooda has welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court.

Randeep Hooda said this on SC’s decision

Randeep Hooda wrote, ‘It was nice to hear that the Honorable CJI has decided to re -look at the decision given on stray dogs in NCR. Making and implementing any law should be human first, and at the same time the structure and sensitivity required for it should also be taken care of.

The actor admitted that stray dogs are collective human responsibilities on one side, on the other hand, sometimes sometimes can become a challenge for public safety. He wrote, ‘I love animals, but if a family has lost his loved one due to rabies or has suffered a serious injury, will I be able to justify it? No.’

He also wrote that it is neither practical nor effective to hold all stray dogs. Instead, he suggested sustainable steps for a long time. Such as sterilization on a large scale and regularly, rekering aggressive flocks to different places and promoting responsible adopts. He wrote, ‘This is a solution that will reduce their number over time. Also adopt as much as possible and take full responsibility of them. I do this myself.

Apart from Randeep Hooda, Bollywood actors John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, Jahnavi Kapoor and TV actress Rupali Ganguly also spoke on the orders of the Supreme Court. They had declared it wrong. Apart from this, animal lover public is also opposing the decision of the Supreme Court.
