A big incident of firing has come to light during a mutual dispute on the evening of Independence Day in Chamanpura village of Baikunthpur police station area of Gopalganj district of Bihar. In this incident, Umesh Pandey, who was employed as a driver of Dial 112 at Vishambharpur police station and retired from SAP, was seriously injured. The bullet caused panic and in a hurry, the family took the injured to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Seeing the condition serious after first aid, the doctors referred him to Gorakhpur Medical College.

Bullet fired after mutual dispute

The incident is being reported late Friday evening. Umesh Pandey came to his village Chamanpura. Meanwhile, there was anger with neighbors Pintu Pandey and Govinda Pandey. The controversy increased so much that accused Pintu Pandey fired on Umesh Pandey. There was chaos on the spot as soon as the bullet was hit.

On receiving the information of the incident, SDPO Rajesh Kumar and Baikunthpur Police Station Harendra Kumar reached the spot and started investigating the case. The police gathered evidence from the spot and started raiding for the arrest of the accused. SDPO Rajesh Kumar said that this dispute was over land sales, after which the incident of firing took place.

Family members accused of selling liquor and weapons

The injured jawan’s brother Ramesh Pandey has made serious allegations. He said that some people of the neighborhood were selling liquor and weapons on the evening of August 15. When his brother Umesh Pandey opposed this, he was angry with Pintu Pandey and Govinda Pandey. SDPO Rajesh Kumar made it clear that Umesh Pandey has been shot during land dispute and assault. An FIR has been registered in this case and the police is continuously raiding for the arrest of the accused.
