A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Greater Noida adjacent to Delhi. Here in a private university hostel, a student of B.Tech Final Year hanged himself. The deceased student has been identified as 24 -year -old Shivam. He was a resident of Purnia district of Bihar. As soon as the information of this incident was received, the police reached the spot and the body of the student was taken into possession and sent for postmortem.
According to police officials, the incident took place on 15 August under the Knowledge Park area of the police station. A suicide note has been recovered from the student’s room. In that note, Shivam first expressed regret on his move by writing “I am SORRY”. After this, he appealed to the college management to return his fees to the family. Not only this, Shivam has also expressed his desire to donate his limbs in the suicide note.
The things written about the education system in the suicide note are the most shocking. Shivam clearly emphasized the need for a change in the system. These things not only reflect her deep mental state but also reveal dissatisfaction from the education system. On the other hand, the family of the deceased student has made serious allegations against the college management. He says that Shivam was not going to college for the last two years.
The information was never given to the family towards the college administration. The family alleges that if college had told the truth in time, then perhaps Shivam’s life could have been saved today. This incident, which took place on a day like Independence Day, raises questions on not only family but entire university and education system. A young man who dreamed of becoming an engineer lost to the flaws of the system.
