It is alleged that he told one of his clients that 30 lakh rupees are needed to help the judge to help in the case. Satnam Singh, a resident of Sector-41, has also been arrested in this work.
The CBI said that they have phone recording of this bribery. The CBI caught both of them red handed while taking 5 lakh rupees.
At present, the direct role of the judge has not been revealed, but it is reported that a notice can be sent to a judge of Bathinda Court. After the arrest, both were produced in court and now they have been sent to jail in judicial custody.
This is how it was revealed On August 13, Harsimranjit Singh, a resident of Bedi Colony of Ferozepur, complained to the CBI. He told that his cousin sister Sandeep Kaur’s divers case is going on in Bathinda Court.
In this case, advocate Jatin Salwan was repeatedly pressurizing that if the case is needed in his favor, then the judge would have to pay 30 lakh rupees. Salwan also said that as soon as the money is given, the special man of the judge will come and take the money and the decision will be taken in his favor.
When Harsimranjeet talked about reducing money, Salwan clearly said that “the bribe money never reduces”.
After this, Harsimranjeet contacted the CBI. On the complaint, the CBI laid a trap and caught Salwan and his partner red handed while taking the first installment of Rs 5 lakh.
Again again on 18 August The CBI arrested both Jatin Salwan and Satnam Singh and produced them in the court, from where they were sent to judicial custody. Both will now be produced in court again on August 18. According to sources, if the CBI gets new layers in the investigation, then there may be further arrests.
Jatin Salwan remained in controversies before This is not the first time that Jatin Salwan has come into controversy. In the year 2015, he was charged under Section 120-B in an NDPS case registered in Maloya police station area. It was alleged that he had conspired to trap someone wrongly with others, including retired inspector of UT Police.
