America’s well-known economist Jeffrey Sachs has described the 50 percent tariff on India by US President Donald Trump as a stupid step. Jeffri said that this move of this US President has no purpose.
Talking to news agency ANI, Jeffrey Sachs described Trump as confusing and said that the US has used its dominant force for so long that they think that they can run their command on every part of the world. He said, “This tariff has no meaning. It is not true and it is failing. Putting additional tariffs on India was a stupid step in every way. Which has no purpose.”
He said, “Trump does not like the countries involved in the BRICS group at all, because all these countries stand in front of America and say that Washington does not run the world.”
India should never trust America- Jeffri
The American economist said, “Everything related to the tariff is completely wrong. It is also dangerous for the American economy. It violates international law. It is also harmful to our political system. Trump’s policies in America are fully cursed to fail.”
According to Jeffrey Sachs, India should never trust America and also should not believe that New Delhi can be included in the Global Value Chain by replacing China. He described China, Russia and Brazil as the real partner of India. He had already warned that India will not get any security benefits from standing with America.
This statement of the American economist came to light when US President Donald Trump has imposed a 50 percent tariff on India, the reason behind which was told to buy India’s Russia oil and gas.
American leaders do not care about India- Jeffri
Sachs said, “America politicians do not care about India. Understand this. India is not going to get any long-term security from standing against China in the quad with America. India is a superpower, which has its own independent identity in the world and the trump that is doing tariffs is absolutely unconstitutional.”
