Due to bad weather in Mumbai, a big accident with Indigo flight was averted. The airline said that on 16 August 2025, Indigo’s Airbus A321 aircraft collided with the runway. The incident occurred when the aircraft carried out a low-altitude go-around due to bad weather (the process of landing again at a low height).
An Indigo spokesman said that after this the aircraft took another approach and made a safe landing. The spokesman said that under the standard protocol, it will be brought into operation only after checking/repairing/repairing and regulatory permission of the aircraft.
The airline insisted that the safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft is the top priority in IndiGo. All efforts are being made to minimize the impact on our operations due to this incident.
