This is a video of a cloudburst on 5 August in Dharali village of Uttarakhand.
The situation is very difficult in Dharali village of Uttarakhand destroyed in natural disaster. Here the hopes of life in the debris are being broken. We divide in four teams every day at 6:30 am. 40-40 soldiers in every team. Then take the weather updates. After this, we start searching for life in the debris spread over 80 acres.
We have divided the disaster -hit area into 4 sectors and dig up 8 to 10 places daily. There are no large machines, so they are digging with hands. We are able to work only for one or two hours and it starts raining heavy. The entire area becomes a marsh. After this, nothing is worth doing. This is the routine for the last 14 days.
We know that many corpses are buried at 12 to 13 locations in debris, but are forced. To remove such debris, heavy meaning moving machines are needed, but due to lack of way, machines are not able to come. You can bring them by helicopter, but the weather is impaired.
This is to say that SDRF Commandant Arpan Yaduvanshi in charge of Dharali Rescue Operation. Arpan told Bhaskar that despite knowing everything, due to continuous rains for 14 days, the work of removing the corpses is not being done. He and his team are forced.
