At least 27 people were killed and several injured in an attack on a mosque by armed bandits in Katseena, Northern Nigeria. This information has been given by the village head and the hospital officer on Tuesday (August 19, 2025).
According to the report by Al Jazeera, local residents said that the gunmen started firing inside the mosque in the remote Unguwan Mantau of Malumfashi area when the Muslims united for the namaz at around 4 am local time. However, no organization has taken responsibility for it immediately, but such attacks have become common in the northwest and north-central regions of Nigeria, where local shepherds and farmers often clash with each other over land and water.
