Litton Das Captain, Mehdi Hasan Miraj not a place, Bangladesh’s team announced for Asia Cup

New Delhi. After India, Pakistan and Hong Kong, Bangladesh has also announced its Asia Cup team. Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the names of 16 main team members and four standby players for the tournament. Litton Das has recently retained his place as captain after winning Bangladesh in the domestic T20 series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Das will also be the first wicketkeeper. But 31 -year -old Nurul Hasan Sohan has also been called by the team for his support. Those who are returning to the T20 team after almost three years. He last played against Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

Top order batsman Saif Hasan has returned to the team after almost two years. He has previously played five T20 matches for Bangladesh, with the last played at the 2023 Asian Games. The head of the pace attack Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed will provide experience to the team, while the previous captain Najmul Hussain Shanto is excluded. Spin all -rounder Mehdi Hasan Miraj is placed in standby. Also, Soumya Sarkar, Tanveer Islam and Hasan Mahmood are also in standby.

Bangladesh is in the Asia Cup Group B, including his rivals Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. The tournament will be played in UAE and will start on 9 September, while Bangladesh will play their first match against Hong Kong two days later.
