The complaint accuses Verma of launching a “Har Ghar Naukri” campaign, which allegedly involves distributing campaign materials and carrying out grassroots campaign activities, which is allegedly in direct violation of election norms.

AAP claims that these activities were carried out after the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, which lays down rules for fairness in election processes. They also allege that Verma distributed job cards and monetary offers during the campaign as part of an alleged scheme, which is in violation of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

In response to these allegations, the ECI has directed the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi to thoroughly investigate the matter to ascertain the veracity of the claims. The Election Commission has stressed on adhering to the model code of conduct, and has said that the CEO will take appropriate action if the allegations are found true. The complaint demands immediate closure of election campaign activities and legal action against Verma, including raid at his residence and removal of his election material.

They have questioned the impartiality of the District Election Officer, demanded his suspension and transfer, accusing him of being biased in favor of the BJP. AAP has supported its complaint with evidence submitted to the Election Commission and hopes for a speedy and fair decision to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
