A big statement of the press secretary of the White House has come amid threats to deploy national guards in Chicago of Donald Trump. Press Secretary Caroline Levit has compared the killings in Chicago to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan and New Delhi, the capital of India.
Referring to the efforts of the administration regarding federal crime intervention, Levitt said that the murder rate of Chicago is more than doubled compared to Islamabad and is about 15 times more than in New Delhi. However, the press secretary did not refer to any report about this.

He argued that these figures reflect the urgency of the new executive order of US President Donald Trump, which has said that the deployment of special units of National Guard to deal with public system issues in the city.
Amid Trump’s threats, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson issued his executive order on Saturday (30 August 2025), in which federal law enforcement officers were stopped from walking in the city. This step has been taken by Trump’s frequent threats to deploy national guards in Chicago.

According to Bloomberg, Johnson said that we do not want military posts or armored vehicles on our streets and we do not want to see families disintegrating. He further said that we will take every necessary steps to protect the rights of all the Chicago dwellers. Trump has described Chicago as the mess, while the Democratic mayors across the country have criticized federal immigration raids and anti-criminal measures of administration.
