Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met President Xi Jinping in Tianjin, China. This meeting has taken place before the Summit of Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO). During this time, a bilateral meeting between PM Modi and Jinping has run for about 40 minutes. During this period, PM Modi emphasized on peace, mutual colleagues and strength of relations on the border.
Emphasis on the strength of India-China relations
During the meeting with Jinping, PM Modi said that I thank you for the warm reception. Last year, we had a very meaningful discussion in Kazan. Our relations have got a positive direction, after disillusionment on the border, there is an atmosphere of peace and stability on the border. He said that direct flights between the two countries are being resumed. With our cooperation, 2.8 billion people are also connected in both countries and this will also pave the way for the welfare of the entire humanity. He said that I congratulate you (Xi Jinping) for the successful chairmanship of SCO on behalf of China.
During the meeting with China President Jinping, PM Modi was accompanied by NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Ambassador Pradeep Rawat and Joint Secretary East Asia Gaurang Lal Das.
‘Agree for mutual cooperation’
In this meeting, President Jinping said that PM Modi was happy to meet. Emphasizing the strength of mutual relations, our meeting held last year was successful and it is necessary for India-China to come together. Jinping said that we are fully ready for mutual cooperation.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said that the world is moving towards change. China and India are the two most civilized countries.
