Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi met at the guest house in Tianjin on Sunday afternoon. Modi has come here to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) Summit. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has issued an official statement regarding this meeting.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, President Xi Jinping said that the meeting held in Kazan last year renewed the India-China relations and since then there has been continuous progress in bilateral cooperation. He said that China and India are two ancient civilizations and the largest population in the world, whose responsibility should be good for their people, strengthen the unity of developing countries and contribute to the progress of human society.
‘Border dispute should not dominate relationships’
According to the statement, Xi Jinping said that on completion of 75 years, both countries should look at the relationship from a long -term and strategic point of view. They placed four important points-
-To deepen mutual confidence by increasing seinous dialogue,
-Getting ‘Win-Win’ results by increasing cooperation and exchange,
Honoring each other’s concerns, furthering peaceful coexistence and not letting border dispute dominate the entire relationship
-Working together for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world by strengthening boundal cooperation.
‘Dragon and elephant are very important’
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said, Jinping said that ‘Dragon and Elephant joining’ are the right choice for both countries. At the same time, Prime Minister Modi said that the previous meeting in Kazan had set the direction of India-China relations and now relations have returned to the positive path. He said that the border is peaceful and stable and direct flights will start soon.
PM Modi said that India and China are not rivals but partners and the consensus in both countries is much more than disagreement. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that India and China will jointly strengthen the Asian century and contribute significantly to the multi -polar world system.
