Money Laundering Case: 696 crore money laundering network spread from Delhi to Hong Kong-Singapore, ED arrested Amit Aggarwal

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), while taking a major action, has arrested a person named Amit Aggarwal in a money laundering case. The court has sent him to the 7 -day ED custody. The case started with an FIR lodged by the Economic Offex Wing of Delhi Police.

The FIR alleged that Kinzal Freight Forwarding OPT LTD and some other companies misused the credentials of a chartered accountant Vikash Mohpal. Investigation revealed that these companies made fake form 15CB and 15CA and sent money abroad. This money was sent to Hong Kong and Singapore and an excuse was made that these money is being sent in the name of goods and services imports and transport expenses.

‘696 crore rupees sent out of India’
According to the investigation of ED, in reality neither the goods nor any service was given in India. This caused heavy loss to the country. ED investigation revealed that 696.69 crore rupees were sent out of India through these companies. Fake companies and fake identities were made to send out the money.

Bank accounts were opened in the name of these companies and then entry was shown in their accounts with cash and after that the money was sent out by putting fake airway bills, invoice and fake 15CB form.

Amit Aggarwal was playing an important role in the entire racket
According to the ED, Amit Aggarwal was playing an important role in this entire racket. He made companies on fake identity. Bank accounts were opened in the names of those companies. Then in these accounts, entry was taken from different places and entered into entry. Later, crores of rupees were transferred abroad from these accounts. The ED says that the investigation is still on and there may be further big revelations.
