The Varanasi STF (STF) has arrested three smugglers, busting the inter -state real smuggling gang. Police have recovered 10 illegal pistols and 15 magazines from his possession. The caught smugglers have been identified as the gang leader Prashant Rai alias Jeetu, his partner Rahul Thakur and Mukund Pradhan.
In fact, the STF was informed that Prashant Rai, who brought a large amount of ash from Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, is going to meet local smugglers in Sarnath area of ​​Varanasi. On the information, the team siege near Faridpur Ring Road underpass and caught the three. Investigation revealed that Prashant Rai (Madhya Pradesh) used to buy a pistol from the infamous Ashala Sardar of Khandwa for 20 to 25 thousand rupees.

Then the smugglers used to sell them for 40 to 50 thousand rupees in the border districts of Ghazipur and Bihar. He used to give 4 to 5 thousand rupees to his colleagues Rahul and Mukund on every supply. The arrested leader Prashant Rai has been involved in criminal incidents earlier and caused fear in the area due to the domineering image. He was associated with local Ashala smuggler Subhash Pasi.
Through this, he created a network of smuggling. STF said that till now the gang has supplied Ashala many times. The police have registered a case against the three accused under Section 111 (1) BNS and 3/25 Arms Act in police station Sarnath. The STF says that the arrest of this interstate gang active in Purvanchal has broken a large supply of illegal weapons.
