The accident of an e-rickshaw filled with school children at Paharganj Chowk in Delhi on Monday morning proved to be very tragic. The e-rickshaw overturned while driving at high speed and carelessness, in which three school girls and a young man were injured. A 16 -year -old minor student died in the accident, while treatment of the rest of the injured continues in the hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, the 46 -year -old driver Dileep was trying to get out at a high speed by breaking the red light. During this time, the e-rickshaw overturned due to deteriorating balance. In a hurry, the people present on the spot immediately informed the police and caught the driver and handed over to the police.

The injured were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared a student dead. The other two girls and a young man are seriously injured and they are undergoing treatment. The deceased and other students boarded an e-rickshaw to go to school in the morning.

The police have arrested the accused driver Dilip, who hails from Motia Khan slum of Paharganj, on the spot. The e-rickshaw involved in the accident has been confiscated. At present, the police is investigating the case and the accused is being questioned. Police say that further action is being taken in the case.
