Talking about the implementation of the Central Government’s Ayushman Yojana in the country, Principal Secretary Health Amit Kumar Ghosh said that when we talk about public health, our focus shifts and it stops and stops on the person of the last rung. Public health system is not new. For this, governance and administration have been constantly trying. As resources increased, technology changed, by the way new options went on.
Giving examples, he said that when we came in service, IRDP scheme was held. All our hard work used to go in how the grant reached the poor man in it. But in today’s date, we are directly benefiting the plans. Aadhaar and digitalization have a big contribution in this. Taking some similar technology, Ayushman Yojana has been brought for the poor people. In this, we provide medical help up to Rs 5 lakh in a year.
Fortified rice is being given by the government to the poor with ration. On this, Principal Secretary Revenue Ranveer Prasad said that when we talk about the developed UP, it is important to talk about the poor sections that they should get basic things. Food is the most important in this. Our National Food Security Act guarantees to give ration to a large section. Rice and wheat are given in it. It was revealed in the study that the cases of anemia are very much in the country. Therefore, the department decided to mix FRK with fortified rice. This led to a decline in anemia cases.
On the GST cut on indigenous and medicines etc., Dr. Rakesh Kapoor, Managing Director of Medanta Lucknow said that this is a very unprecedented step. If subsidy is given on drugs and consumers, then it will be a big thing in medical. With this, people will get treatment cheaply. There is a great need to change the health sector. Most people feel that we have to go to a big hospital. We also need to trust the medical college around us. Where we can go for small treatment and surgery. But in these, the government also needs to pay attention to how facilities and doctors are there. The government needs to instill confidence in the people.
