ICC on USA Cricket: ICC immediately suspended USA cricket membership. This decision has been taken due to violation of obligations and damaging the reputation of cricket.
USA Cricket AssociationIn a media statement, the ICC accused USA cricket of repeated and continuous violation of its obligations as an ICC member.
The ICC said, “This decision taken by the ICC Board during its meeting is based on repeated and continuous violations of its obligations by USA cricket as an ICC member under the ICC Constitution.”
It states, “These include failure to implement functional governance structure, lack of progress towards achieving the status of national governing body with the United States Olympics and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and important tasks that harm the reputation of cricket around the United States and the world, but it is not limited to these.”
