A new storm has arisen in the NDA camp just before the 2025 assembly elections in the politics of Bihar. Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader RK Singh has started speaking on the sidelines of the party line, which makes it clear that he has taken the path of rebellion. After losing his seat from Ara (Bhojpur) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he is considering himself as a sideline. Now he is openly supporting the corruption allegations of Prashant Kishore (Jan Suraj Party). Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal are seeking resignation from leaders. And the Rajputs are described as neglected in the NDA government.
Singh is repeatedly making such gestures that he can form his own party. On Tuesday night, at the inauguration of the office of Kshatriya Kalyan Sangathan, Babu Bazar, Ara’s Babu Bazar, appealed to the Rajputs for solidarity and asked if we should form our separate party? He also appealed to the Rajput community to consider this and tell them.
Now the question arises that what is the political basis of RK Singh, who did not win the previous Lok Sabha elections, which he is jumping so much? Is this their personal frustration or a well -planned strategy to weaken the BJP in Bihar? Come, let’s investigate their background and current stance.
Former bureaucrats could never connect with the public
RK Singh is a former bureaucrat. He was the DM of Patna as an IAS officer. He was the Home Secretary in the Central Government. How seriously he takes Bihar’s politics, it can be understood that he had come to meet the people of Ara Lok Sabha seat 23 days after the announcement of his ticket from BJP in 2024. Whereas from here he was an MP 2 times in 2014 and 2019. Therefore, there can be no 2 opinion in this that he lost elections due to not being associated with the public.
All the leaders like them have left the officers, they also have anything to do with the ideology of the party. After losing the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Ara, he blamed BJP’s factionalism for this. A lot was spoken against his own party. But the biggest reason for RK Singh’s defeat in the BJP’s internal report was his disappearance from the region. On the one hand, the party expressed confidence in him for the third time, but the CPI Male was constantly working more hard than him in the area.
Rajputs can set a native to describe voters as angry
RK Singh has no basis among the public. While being an administrative officer in Bihar, he had made some efforts to improve the roads of the state. Now these things are very old. While being the Energy Minister at the Center, he definitely made some reforms, but did not do any work that directly influenced the people of Bihar so that the people there feel indebted to him.
By taking it, he does not see any basis for creating dissatisfaction with the BJP only in Thakur (Rajput) fraternity. They go to the Rajput conferences nowadays and do such things that the Rajputs feel neglected. They remind the Rajputs that how much participation is you in the state government? They openly appeal to the Rajputs to give your vote to you who give you respect and participate in power.
It is clear that BJP does not give you a stake in power, so it does not need to vote. Obviously, applause rings on his appeal. But the Rajputs know that even if the RJD government is formed, how many stake will they get? It is obvious that applause rings on their words, but at their behest, BJP will not get votes.
He also plays Victim Card many times. He also talks about getting injustice to Bhojpuri power star Pawan Singh along with him. Pawan Singh also comes from Rajput caste. RK Singh says that Pawan Singh met me after the election results. He had told the whole thing, how it went wrong with him. First, the Lok Sabha ticket was given from Asansol and then said that do not fight elections from there, you will get a ticket from another place but did not give it.
Significantly, after losing the Lok Sabha elections, RK Singh had said that he lost due to Pawan Singh contesting from Karakat. In fact, in Karakat, Thakurs supported Pawan Singh, due to which the Kushwaha caste felt that Thakur people want to defeat their leader Upendra Kushwaha. Therefore, Kushwaha voters of Ara did not vote for RK Singh.
Recently, RK Singh said that a BJP candidate of BJP had spent money to contest Pawan Singh. Singh says that he felt that RK Singh is a future CM candidate in Bihar politics. So I was removed from the way.
RSS people don’t even like
RK Singh is a resident of Supaul district. After his retirement, there was talk of making him a BJP candidate from Supaul. But it is said that RSS opposed him. When the officials of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh came to know about his candidature, he started opposing RK Singh. The RSS had alleged how the BJP who used the word ‘saffron terrorism’ for the RSS people as the Union Home Secretary can make it a BJP candidate.
Due to this protest, RK Singh was not given a ticket from Supaul. However, later he succeeded in getting tickets from Ara and also reached Lok Sabha 2 times. But RSS, which is very strong with 1,421 branches in Bihar as of 2015. However, the RSS may consider Singh’s saffron terrorism statements to be an old mistake.
Creating a new party is not easy, BJP has RK Singh’s break
If RK Singh revolts from BJP and forms a separate new party or goes to Jansuraj, then nothing is going to be difficult for the BJP. BJP can bring Pawan Singh forward at such a time. The second thing is too late now. A lot of funds and time are needed to form a party. Prashant Kishore has been working hard for many years, then he has reached the status of cutting votes somewhere. If RK Singh form a party on the basis of caste, then obviously he is not going to get widespread support. However, Rajputs Ange Votebank (10-15%in Bhojpur) and have the capacity to harm NDA in 4-5 seats.
Chances of going to Jansuraj
Prashant Kishore’s party started in 2022, fighting all 243 seats in 2025. The focus of the party is ‘good governance, youth employment, development above caste’. Leo’s bureaucracy matches the image. The party has added faces like former IAS RCP Singh, JP Singh (former ADGP), Ritesh Pandey (Bhojpuri Star). Obviously, a place can also be made for RK Singh.
RCP was brought by PK to influence Kurmi votes which challenges Nitish’s vote bank. He can use RK Singh for Rajputs in Bhojpur. But it is not a beneficial deal to go to Jansuraj for stature like RK Singh.
