India has recorded a major achievement in child marriage prevention. Since 2023, 4 lakh child marriages have been stopped. This is the largest number after becoming an anti -child marriage law. Child marriage declined by 69% in 3 years.
The United Nations (Units Nations) Rights for Children’s report released at a program during the General Assembly ‘Tipping Point to Zero: Evidence Towards a Child Marriage Free India’.
In 2023, the United Nations Secretary -General said that it would take 300 years to end this practice at this pace. One third of the world child marriages take place in India.

In 2023, 257 such districts have been selected where the rate of child marriage was more than 23%. Add 270 organizations together. Each organization was given the responsibility of stopping only 6 marriages by choosing 50 villages in one district. Their evidence was put on the portal.
