Haris Rauf has been fined 30 percent of the match fees.
The hearing was held by match referee Richie Richardson at the Pakistan team’s hotel in Dubai. Both the players appeared in front of them personally despite the answers given in writing. He was accompanied by team manager Naveed Akram Cheema. The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) in an official complaint on Wednesday accused the two players of making inflammatory gestures. Both teams will be face to face in the Asia Cup final on Sunday.
Haris Rauf made fun of the Indian fans sitting in the stand by pointing out the falling planes, while the celebrations celebrated after Farhan’s half -century in the match were also considered objectionable by the Indian team. Farhan, appearing before ICC officials, defended his celebration and stressed that it was not politically motivated. He told that former Indian captain MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli have also celebrated the same celebration before. Farhan did gun celebrations after scoring a half -century against India in the Super 4 match.
