New Delhi. The Mumbai Cricket Association has announced its captain’s name for Ranji Trophy 2025-26. Shardul Thakur has been given the responsibility of captaincy in this Mahakumbh of India’s domestic cricket. He will take the responsibility of leadership in the Mumbai team in place of Ajinkya Rahane. The list of 24 potential players has been released for the upcoming 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season. Shreyas Iyer has not been given a place in this team. This is because it has decided to stay away from red ball cricket itself. Yashsvi Jaiswal has also not found a place in the list of probables.
Ajinkya Rahane has already expressed his desire to leave Mumbai captaincy and Shardul will take command of the team in the upcoming season.
