During the prayer of Jumme at Jama Masjid in Saharanpur on Friday, the wave of ‘I Love Mohammad’ poster by a young man created a possibility of stressful atmosphere. The Namaz was getting peacefully concluded when the young man separated from the crowd and took out two posters from the pocket and started waving in his hands. The poster was written in the big letters ‘I Love Mohammed’.
The policemen present on the spot immediately tried to catch him. The young man protested and refused to give the poster. The police forcibly snatched the poster and tore, but the young man continued to wave the torn poster in the air. After this, the security cordon was made and strict and the young man was caught and taken to the police station.

During this time, DIG and SSP Ashish Tiwari were monitoring security arrangements themselves. SSP Tiwari said that the administration had deployed more than 1500 police personnel and all religious leaders had already been discussed. He said that only one youth has been detained and he is being questioned. Other aspects including social media account are also being investigated.
The SSP further said that during the Namaz, the security remained completely intact and the other Namaji returned to their respective homes in a peaceful manner. The administration claims that there was no major dispute due to immediate action and vigil. He has appealed to the public to maintain cooperation and maintain security.
