Israel, taking an unprecedented step, broadcast the speech of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu through the mobile phones and loudspeakers installed in the area, taking an unprecedented step. In the address, Netanyahu spoke directly to those held hostage there and warned Hamas and demanded the release of the hostages.
It is being told that in an unusual campaign, the Israeli Army (IDF) took the mobile phone of the residents of Gaza under his control and strengthened the speech of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the United Nations General Assembly directly on those phones. Along with this, the IDF also put large loudspeakers in many places so that the speech could be heard in Gaza.
Netanyahu attempted to talk directly to the hostages
In his speech, Netanyahu named 20 living hostages and addressed them. He said, ‘I want to do something that I have never done before. I will talk directly to those hostages from this platform via loudspeakers. He told that large loudspeakers have been installed around Gaza and they will give their message in Hebrew and then in English.
Netanyahu said, ‘This is the Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is talking to the United Nations directly to you. We did not forget you even a moment. The people of Israel are with you. We will not stop until we bring all of you home. He further said that due to the special efforts of Israeli intelligence, his words are now reaching Gaza’s mobile phone too.
Hamas warning
Netanyahu asked Hamas leaders and those who kept the hostages to put their weapons and leave all the hostages i.e. ‘all 48 people’ immediately. He warned that if they leave the hostages, they will get life, otherwise ‘Israel will find them and finish them.’
IDF put loudspeakers
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) had earlier said that there is a plan to run the speech live in Gaza, but claimed that it would be done only from across the Israeli border. However, the IDF said that some loudspeakers were taken on trucks and cranes and taken to the army posts inside the bandage, some of which were more than one kilometer inside the border.
Netanyahu’s office called it a ‘public relations effort’ and said that the Prime Minister had clearly ordered that this operation should not have any threat to the safety of IDF soldiers.
