In such a situation, devotees who observe fast on Ashtami Tithi perform Havan on this day. Navami Tithi will fall on 01 October, Wednesday this year. Devotees who observe a fast on Navami Tithi should perform a havan on 01 October.
Importance of havan
Havan in Navratri resides in positive energy in the house. It pleases the mother Durga and receives her special grace. It is believed that Ashtami-Navami Havan destroys negative forces, happiness, peace and prosperity in the family. Also, obstacles are removed from life and the mind gets peace.
Havan material list
In Navratri, the following material is required for havan. Such as Havan Kund, mango wood, pure desi ghee, dry coconut, paan leaves and betel nut, camphor, red cloth, Ganges water, charanamrit, kalava, mango leaves, frankincense, googgal, barley, black sesame, rice honey, cloves and dry wood.
Navratri havan method
On this day, take a bath in the morning and wear clean clothes and spray Ganga water throughout the house. After this, establish the Havan Kund and tie Kalava around it. Then light a lamp of desi ghee and keep the mango wood and ignite the fire with camphor or ghee. After this, make it three times and then take water in your hand and spray it on the body and purify it.
Then offer the mantra “Om Shri Ganeshaya Namah Swaha” and then chant “Om Dun Durgayai Namah Swaha” and other Durga mantras and also offer ghee, rice, googgal, sesame etc. in fire. Finally, wish Maa Durga for the happiness, prosperity and health of the family. After the havan, perform the aarti and distribute the prasad.
