Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Odisha today. During this time, he will start many big rail, education and health projects from Jharsuguda. PM Modi will flag off the virtual Amrit Bharat Express train.
This train will go from Brahmapur in Odisha to Udhna in Surat district of Gujarat. Modi will inaugurate railway projects worth Rs 1700 crore. PM will address the Namo Yuva Samagam program in Jharsuguda.
The event will be held at Amalipali Maidan located near Veer Surendra Sai Airport. The program will start at 11:25 am and PM will leave Odisha at 12:45 pm.
This is the Prime Minister’s sixth visit to Odisha in 15 months. Earlier, all five of his trips were limited to Bhubaneswar.
Amrit Bharat Express will connect Odisha with Gujarat.

- In the railway area, PM Modi will inaugurate the 34 km long Koraput-Baguda and 82 km long Manabar-Koraaput-Gorapur railway dabbling line. About 1400 crore rupees have been spent on these schemes.
- In Sambalpur city, PM Modi will inaugurate a 5 km long flyover built at a cost of Rs 273 crore. This will make it easier to carry minerals and will provide new employment and development opportunities to the industries and people of South Odisha.
- Modi will give super-specialty status to MKCG Medical College, Brahmapur and VIMSAR, Sambalpur. They will also announce the expansion of eight IITs.
- PM will start a National Skill Development Program and will also provide assistance to 50,000 beneficiaries under Antyodaya Yojana.
- In the telecom sector, PM Modi will start BSNL’s indigenous 4G stack. This technique is made entirely in India, runs on clouds and can be easily converted into 5G. With this, India will join the few countries that make their own telecom equipment.
The Meteorological Department has warned of rain, lightning and strong winds in 9 districts including Jharsuguda, but the state government has made complete preparations for security and program. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, many ministers, chief secretaries and DGPs also went and inspected the venue.
Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said that the Prime Minister’s visit to Odisha repeatedly shows his attachment to Odisha and development.
