New Delhi. Women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is ready to lift the World Cup trophy. The captain says that the team is full of confidence and is ready to create history. Harmanpreet is confident that a good mix of young and experienced players in every department in the Indian team for the Women’s World Cup starting on Tuesday will help their team win the world title for the first time. India is hosting this prestigious competition of ICC for the fourth time. The team had come close to winning the title on two occasions earlier. The Indian team made it to the finals in 2017 last time but then Mithali Raj -led team lost to England in a thrilling match at Lord’s.

‘Bowling is equally impressive’
Smriti scored two consecutive centuries against Australia, while her fellow opener Priti Rawal also performed well with the bat. The spinners in the bowling department have specially performed commendable. However, Indian spinners scored a lot of runs in the recently decisive third one in Delhi against Australia. Harmanpreet said, ‘Bowling is equally impressive which includes young and talented Kranti Gaur, Mr. Charani and Radha Yadav along with Renuka Thakur and Arundhati Reddy. Apart from this, there are three all -rounders in the form of Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana and Amanjot Kaur who can turn the match towards India.
Seven -time champion will be tough tests from Australia
He said, ‘A balanced team. Dedicated and concentrated preparations before the tournament. Along with the ready and firm team for success, we are entering the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup with positivity and trust. Harmanpreet played an important role in bringing the Indian team to the final by scoring an unbeaten 171 against Australia in the semi -finals in 2017. Harmanpreet said that although seven -time champions will be tough against Australia, England and New Zealand, the team is full of confidence. The Indian captain said, ‘Competition is as strict as usual but the team has full confidence in their skills, preparations and their ability to overcome the challenge. The results of the recent matches played on domestic and foreign soil have been encouraging for the team and we are eager to maintain this rhythm in the World Cup.
