The Punjab Police made a big disclosure on Saturday, stating that Parminder Singh alias Pindi, a dangerous terrorist of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) module, was arrested. He was successfully extradited to India from Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). This action has been stated to be part of the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s commitment to ensure justice. Pindi was an important part of the internationally spread terrorist network. He is considered a close associate of notorious terrorists Harvinder Singh Rinda and Happy Pasia.
Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that Parminder Singh alias Pindi was not an ordinary criminal but Rinda and Pasia’s right hand. In Batala-Gurdaspur area, he carried out many dreadful incidents like petrol bomb attacks, violent incidents and forced recovery. He used social media platforms not only for coordination of crimes but also for financing terrorist activities.
The DGP thanked the Ministry of External Affairs, UAE Government, CBI and other central agencies in this operation, and thanked them. He said that on the request of Batala police, the CBI had issued a red corner notice (RCN) against Parminder Singh Pindi through Interpol. This global alert proved to be decisive in the identity of his activities and hideouts in Abu Dhabi.
Batala SSP Suhail Qasim Mir said that the process of extradition was expedited by Parminder Singh’s severity of crimes and his direct relations with Pakistan -based terrorists. He said that after the red corner notice, his activities were closely monitored and on September 24, 2025, a four -member team of Punjab Police was sent to Abu Dhabi. After completing all the legal formalities, this team succeeded in bringing it to India.
The SSP clarified that Pindi’s arrest has broken the significant link of a large international terrorist network. This action is proof that there is no geographical limit of long hands of the law. DGP Gaurav Yadav described it as the best example of Punjab Police’s advanced capabilities and global access. He said that the Punjab Police has so far taken many decisive steps towards ending organized crime and terrorism.
Significantly, the CBI coordinates all law enforcement agencies through Bharatpol as the National Bureau (NCB) for Interpol in India. This time too, the CBI played an important role in carrying out campaigns at the international level. The Punjab Police believes that the arrest of Parminder Pindi is a big relief for the security of not only Punjab but the whole country.
