In Karur, Tamil Nadu, 31 people have died due to a sudden stampede on the night of Saturday (September 27, 2025) in Karur, Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, a letter given to the Superintendent of Police has come out for the permission of organizing a road show in Karur of actor Vijay.

In his letter to the Superintendent of Police, Tamil Nadu Vatri Kazhagam (TVK) said about the road show of his leader Vijay that he is expected to come only 10,000 people during the road show. TVK wrote a letter to Karur SP on Thursday (September 25, 2025) seeking permission for the road show.

In the letter, the Karur West District Secretary of Tamil Nadu Vitri Kazhagam (TVK) said that Vijay will go by road and he has sought permission to install banners, Festoon, Flex Board and a public address system.

The letter further said, ‘We studied the area near Light House Roundtana with the help of an engineer. This area is spread over 1,20,000 square feet and can sit in 60,000 people. However, we expect only 10,000 people to come. The engineer’s plan was also attached in the letter. The party also demanded permission for the meeting and police security.

The injured were admitted in government and private hospitals

Former Tamil Nadu minister and DMK leader V. Senthil Balaji reached the Government Medical College and Hospital after this incident and the concerned officials inquired about the whole situation. He said that so far 58 people have been admitted to the injured hospital. Out of which 12 people are being treated in a government hospital and other 46 people have been admitted to private hospitals.
