Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi told RSS’s 100 -year journey amazing, ‘Rashtra I’ spirit also appreciated the spirit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS )’s notable, unprecedented and inspirational journey of 100 years. He said that the spirit of ‘Rashtra I’ has always been paramount in every effort of RSS volunteers.

Addressing the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, PM Modi said that the RSS has been engaged in the work of ‘nation’ for 100 years. That is why we see, there should be natural disasters anywhere in the country, RSS volunteers first reach there. This feeling of the nation I is always paramount in every effort of millions of volunteers, in every effort.

He said, ‘We are going to celebrate Vijayadashami in the next few days. This time Vijayadashami is very special for another reason. On this day, 100 years of establishment of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh are happening. This journey of a century is as amazing, unprecedented, it is as inspiring.

PM Modi said that when the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was established 100 years ago, the country was tied in the chains of slavery for centuries. The centuries of this slavery had hurt our self -respect and confidence deeply. A crisis of identity was being created in front of the world’s oldest civilization. The countrymen started falling prey to inferiority. Therefore, along with the independence of the country, it was also important that the country should be free from ideological slavery.

During this time, Prime Minister Modi remembered Union founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. He said, ‘Hedgewar ji started churning in this subject and then for this Bhagiratha work, he established the’ Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ‘on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami in 1925. After his departure, ‘Guru Ji’ carried forward this Mahayagya of Rashtra Seva.

He further said, ‘Param Pujya Guruji used to say,’ Idan Rashtriya Idan Mam ‘means that it is not mine, it belongs to the nation. In this, there is an inspiration to rise above selfishness and keep a sense of dedication for the nation. This sentence of Guruji Golvarkar ji has shown the path of sacrifice and service to millions of volunteers. The spirit of sacrifice and service and learning of discipline is the true strength of the Sangh.
